During war, people generally overlook the fact that it's very possible to be injured by your own machinery.
In Raimaru's case, caustic bio-mechanical fluid from a damaged engine.

Don't worry, he'll get a new eye :3
this is hardly the first time he's had to get a replacement body part. He's a tough old soldier, that Marshal Raimaru.

(white hair + eyepatch= win. will be drawn more often)

That is a very good point, it's not uncommon to be severely injured by one's own equipment.
I like the glowing floor lines that I'm sure were only added cause you thought they looked cool, but will explain away as lighting. I also really like the reflection in his eye. Ever since seeing minority report I can't get over how cool holographic touch screens would be so I'm really liking this one!
I'm sorry but those trousers, what were you thinking with those colours, is he going to the beach after the battle or something XD.

A biomech engine is not a fun thing to get injured by, seeing as the burns are essentially it digesting your flesh DX

yup, I love floor lights and geometric patterns so I just spodged the two together XD

I also love holo-touchscreens, they're the staple of Altamaran technology, from spaceships to social networking.
He probably wore them because he knew whatever he wore for fixing the engine would probably get destroyed- and I had stereotypical scifi twotone bodysuit/battlegear in mind when I drew them, I was using trippy colours to match the pic.

Zeni would never in a million years admit that he sees Raimaru as a father XD
He would probably like to leave him presents to find like most awkward teenagers, but this is Raimaru we're talking about, his ninja-like skills are so high he'd know exactly what Zeni was up to.
